Artisanal Perfumery Workshop at Patio del Posadero: craft your own signature scent in Córdoba
At Patio del Posadero we believe travelling is also about discovering aromas. Scent anchors memories in a way no photograph can. That’s why we’re launching an Artisanal Perfumery Workshop—an intimate, hands-on experience where you’ll design your very own fragrance and take it home with a personalised Patio del Posadero label.
We’re running two small-group editions (maximum 16 places) on Monday 3 November and Monday 1 December, from 17:00 to 18:30. Price is €119 for external attendees. The workshop takes place in our patio in the heart of Córdoba—the light, the plants, and the hush of the late afternoon make an inspiring setting for citrus, floral and woody notes with Mediterranean soul.
Who is this workshop for?
For anyone who wants more than a souvenir—you’re after a sensory encounter and an object that truly speaks of you. It’s ideal for couples and friends looking for an original plan; for lovers of design, wellbeing and craft; and for the curious who enjoy learning by doing. No prior knowledge is required: we’ll guide you step by step.
What will we do?
1) Awaken your nose
We begin with a guided olfactory tasting. You’ll smell selected raw materials (citrus, floral, spicy, woody accords) and learn how they behave on skin and over time. We’ll cover the olfactory pyramid—top, heart and base notes—as well as concentration, fixation and sillage (the scent trail a perfume leaves behind).
2) Build your note map
With the support of our guest perfumer, you’ll sketch the “skeleton” of your fragrance: choose the olfactory family that resonates with you and combine accords with intention—balancing freshness, character and longevity.
3) Blend and compose
Here’s the creative heart of the workshop: you’ll formulate and refine your perfume through small trials until you find the one that makes you light up. You’ll learn to adjust proportions so what you imagine matches what you smell.
4) Bottle and sign
Once your recipe is ready, we’ll bottle your creation and finish it with a personalised Patio del Posadero label—your name or a dedication (perfect if it’s a gift). You’ll also take home your recipe card, so you can recreate or evolve your fragrance later.
5) Care and ritual
We’ll close with guidance on application and storage, ideas for creating small daily rituals with scent, and how to layer your perfume for season, mood or occasion.

Your place is confirmed with payment at the time of registration. Places are limited and we prepare personalised materials for each participant, so advance booking is essential. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send all practical details (how to find us, meeting point and recommendations).
Cancellation policy
- Free cancellation up to 5 days before the workshop date (full refund).
- Within the 5 days prior to the workshop, bookings are non-refundable due to logistics and personalisation of materials.
- If we need to reschedule due to force majeure, you may choose a new date or request a full refund.

- Please avoid wearing strong fragrances (perfume, scented creams, hairspray) on the day—this keeps your nose fresh and your blend precise.
- Come with curiosity: we’ll help you slow down and translate sensations into notes.

Who leads the workshop?
We work under the pedagogical direction of Elena del Valle—trainer and author of La vendedora de perfumes—whose method blends emotion and technique to awaken the nose. The workshop at Patio del Posadero will be led by a perfumer from her team, experienced in five-star hotels and sensory events. Our collaboration is exclusive in Córdoba, ensuring continuity and quality, and we have tailored content and materials so the experience carries the Posadero signature of warmth and attention to detail.
