Many years ago, in a small village in the Subbética Cordobesa called Almedinilla, José grew up surrounded by olive groves and mountains. Since childhood, he spent his days with his grandfather on a plot of land they always called “La Joya.” It wasn’t just any piece of land; it was the place where the family’s best olive oil was produced, and where his grandfather taught him the true meaning of hard work and dedication.
Every rock, every tree, every olive had a special value. José remembers spending hours clearing the field with his grandfather, removing stones to make olive harvesting easier. That effort, that love for the land, is what makes “Grandfather’s Jewel” much more than just a product. It is the legacy of generations.
Today, José is the heir to that tradition. Now, he is the one who tends those same centenary olive trees, over 100 years old, working the land with his family’s hands, in the same way his grandfather once did. There are only 98 olive trees, but their fruit is unique, concentrating all the effort and love for tradition. The perfect coupage of different olive varieties, growing in this privileged corner of the Subbética, results in an oil of exceptional quality.
The cultivation is carried out organically, respecting the natural environment and promoting sustainable practices that protect biodiversity and the local ecosystem. The oil is organically certified, ensuring that each bottle is not only a gourmet product, but also a conscious choice for the environment.
“Grandfather’s Jewel” is produced in small quantities, in a micro-mill that presses the olives only once, to ensure the oil retains all its properties. Each 100 ml bottle is unique, with a fruity, delicate flavor full of history. Quality is non-negotiable.
